She's hit all of her milestones and is eating everything she should. They said we can start introducing yogurts, cheese, etc. When she is one year old we can start giving her whole milk! Holy cow, our little girl is growing up!
Here are the Normal Development Milestones for a 9 month old:
Daily Activities:
Continues to enjoy banging, waving, and throwing toys (check)
Scrutinizes toys and other objects (double check)
Becomes absorbed in toys and games (check)
Explores food with fingers (triple check... lol)
Initiates play (check)
Motor Skills:
Goes from sitting to lying position unassisted (check)
May pull self to standing position (check)
Stands holding on to furniture (double check)
Tries to move one foot in front of the other when held upright (check)
May try to crawl up stairs (glad there are no stairs around for her to try that out)
May begin to walk with assistance (check)
Language Development:
Imitates the rising and falling sounds of adult conversation (check)
Imitates more speech sounds, but does not yet understand them (check)
Repeats sounds again and again (triple check)
May begin to say "mama" or "dada" appropriately (sort of)
Emotional and Behavioral Development:
Continues to resist doing what she does not want to do (oh lord, yes)
Begins trying to imitate some parent behaviors (check)
Loves showing off for family audience (oh lord, yes)
May cry when parent leaves the room (check)
