This picture was taken by the portrait people at her daycare two weeks ago... and I gotta say, that smirk is just asking for trouble, don't you think? lol
At 15 months, Riley:
*wears size 4 diapers
*weighs 20lbs, 10.4oz and is 33 3/4 inches long
*wears 18 month clothing
*walks (occasionally runs)
*waves, high fives, claps and points
*can point to her nose, her head, and mommy's nose
*shakes her head no and rolls her eyes
*eats just about anything we give her
*She LOVES snacks, preferably cheerios, veggie dip crunches, fruit twists, fruit of any kind (especially cantaloupe and bananas)
*she drinks whole milk (flavored with dinner), water and juice (at daycare)
*goes to bed around 8-10pm, but typically wakes up at least once nightly (usually between 2-5am) - her pediatrician has informed me that she's playing us (no kidding)
*says momma, dada, yeah, hi, bye-bye, thank you and uh oh (occasionally she will surprise us with a new word here and there)
*she still loves to blow raspberries
*loves to do back flips off mommy's lap
*she loves bath time and slapping the water so it splashes mommy
*she'll go to her room and stand by her changing table when asked if she needs her diaper changed
*she loves to give Divot a treat whenever we let her
*still constantly tries to catch Shanks, but Shanks can still run faster... haha
*has four top teeth, four bottom teeth and two molars
*still has her birthmark on the back of her head just above the top of her neck
*her hair has gone blonde and is starting to get longer and even thicker, her eyes are brown
*I think she has a shoe fetish. She is always picking up shoes and either setting them down in front of her on the floor, then sitting down to wait for me to put them on her or picking up our shoes and putting them down in front of us
*her favorite toys are her nightlight turtle, her big pink bouncy ball, her climb & slide, and her ABCD barn
There is so very much more that I just can't think of at the moment, but I'm sure in the middle of the day tomorrow or the next day, I'll say to myself "Dangit! I should've mentioned that!" and promptly forget to post it when I get home. hahaha. Anyway, she's growing and learning so fast, it's hard to keep up. Part of me can't wait to see what she'll do next and the other part looks at her pictures from this time last year and my heart breaks because time is going by so fast. Ah well. On to another day… here are a few photos to keep you going.
I put one of Riley's rings on my head and left it there while she giggled at me. She decided to try it for herself, but just couldn't keep her head still enough.
Riley has figured out how to turn her little TV on and off and does it at least three times a night.
She actually found her horsey in the garage one day when we came home from daycare and she literally picked it up and brought it into the house with her. She's been playing with it every night since.
