We had a wonderful Easter weekend with Omie! Saturday, we went to the Horse Power for Kids Spring Festival with our friends Tina and Savanna. Riley and Savanna got to ride a pony and ride on a horse drawn carriage. They petted all kinds of neat animals and danced on a little stage for tootsie roll pops. They were going to go on the Easter egg hunt, but there was some confusion in the crowd and all the older kids were let loose early so there weren't any eggs left by the time we got to the area. :-( Boo hiss. Riley got to hug and get her picture with the Easter bunny though! All in all, it was a lot of fun. When we got home, Riley took a short nap and then we decorated our all-season ginger bread house with an Easter/spring theme. And after that, we dyed a dozen Easter eggs. Riley cracked a few, but they all still managed to look pretty good.
On Sunday, once everyone was up and about, Riley went out into the front yard to hunt her Easter eggs and check out the really great Easter basket the Easter bunny left for her. Mommy and Daddy got an awesome Easter present too... a Dual Screen Mobile DVD System for the car so the girls can watch Elmo on the way to and from South Carolina next weekend. Woohoo! After the morning fun, we went to Coachman Park in Clearwater for more Easter fun. Riley played in the bounce house and rode another pony. Both girls got their faces painted with a little pink nose and white whiskers. It was too cute. Lastly, Riley got to hunt for more Easter eggs although she found the peppermint candies sprinkled everywhere more interesting than the eggs. LOL. Omie left after we got home from the park and then me and the girls went over to Tina and Savanna's house for a late Easter lunch and some play time.
I was hoping to post a bunch of pictures from the weekend this morning for you, but I left my laptop at home. I'm not happy about that. **sigh** Oh well, here's a sneak peak at some of the fun we had though. I will hopefully post lots more pics and a video or two either late tonight once the girls are asleep or tomorrow morning. Hope everyone had a blessed and very Happy Easter!
