We're back!

So, it's been a pretty intense and incredible week. It started with Riley being diagnosed with Tonsilitis and packing everything up to go to Texas for my sister's wedding. Saturday night, we left Ocala around 7:30pm after Riley had eaten her dinner. She fell asleep within 30 minutes of being in the car and slept through the night until about 7:30am when we stopped for breakfast. The drive took a total of 18 hours because of the frequent stops we made, but Riley slept for 85% of it and never really got fussy except for when it was time for her bottle. I even managed to feed her a solid meal breakfast while in her carseat. Oh yeah, we're pros here. lol. By the time we go to College Station, my throat was on fire. I went to the doctor on Monday and discovered I now had tonsilitis too! Yay me! We spent all week helping my sister get all the last minute details for the wedding taken care of AND moving out of her apartment to the 2 bedroom trailer they will be living in temporarily when they return from their honeymoon in 6 weeks. Thursday, we moved to a hotel that was closer to Conroe which is near Houston and also where the wedding would be on Saturday. Friday night, my father and I left the rehearsal dinner and drove to Houston to pick up my husband. We got back after midnight and crashed. Saturday was the wedding day and completely packed with getting ready. The ceremony was incredibly beautiful and lasted a whole hour! Whew! My feet were killing me! Riley did really well though and only got fussy for the last half of it. When we left for the reception, she slept the whole way and was very good for the first hour. By that time, she was rubbing her eyes a lot and looked exhausted so I handed her over to the babysitter for the rest of the evening. When we got back to the hotel around 11:30pm. Riley had woken up for a bottle and wasn't ready to go back to sleep so she came downstairs with us and hung out with the family out by the pool as we wound down from the party. She even played in the pool! That girl truly loves water! :-) Sunday was another first for her as well. She went on her first airplane for a direct flight back home with me. She had a bottle just before we took off and by the time the plane had leveled off, she was fast asleep in my arms. She slept the whole two hours and woke just as we started to descend, but didn't make a peep. What an angel! Anyway, here are a few pictures of the beginning of the week. I will post more as soon as I can download the ones I took on my camera. Enjoy!

One day we went to the Bluebell Factory and did a tour. It was great and Riley loved it!

She even tipped her hat in salute. LO

She loved, loved, LOVED her first taste of Cookies & Cream Bluebell Ice Cream!

That night we went to dinner and Riley got her first taste of lemon. She made the most hilarious faces and then kept coming back for more! She ate two slices!

Don't worry. She grinned every time she finished making those faces and went for another bite. I think she liked being the entertainment and center of attention.
