What's going on?....

Our daughter used to LOVE bath time and last summer, she LOVED swimming in her float in the pool. Well now, she still loves the water, but she refuses to sit down in the bath tub and when we are in the pool she hates getting any deeper than her knees. She'll bend over to splash the water with her hands, but she starts fussing if we try to get her in any deeper. We put her in the float she used to love yesterday and man, she hated it. When she's getting a bath, if we try to make her sit down she starts to cry as well. What's going on? I haven't tried to give her a shower yet and I'm not sure if I should. Any advice??
